Millburn Wynd, opposite the bakers. Look for the pole on the wall — if you have walked past the harbour you have gone too far.

Getting here

Parking, and when to come.

There is free parking on Millburn Wynd itself, but it fills by half nine on a Saturday. The square car park is a two minute walk and is usually fine.

The step at the door is a shallow one and the shop is on a single level once you are in. If a step is a problem, ring ahead and Sandy will come out to the pavement to help.

Coming from Aberdeen it is twenty minutes down the A90; from Inverbervie about fifteen up the coast road. Portlethen and Newtonhill are ten.

When to come

Busy, and not busy.

Avoid if you can

Saturday, 9 till 12

The busiest three hours of the week by a distance. Booked chairs get seen first, so if Saturday is the only day you have, book it rather than walking in.

Steady

Thursday evening

Open until half seven. Good if you finish work at five and would rather not spend a Saturday morning on it. Usually a short wait, never a long one.

Come now

Tuesday & Wednesday afternoon

The shop is quiet, both chairs are free more often than not, and the over-65s price runs all day. Walk in and you will likely be sat down inside five minutes.
