Who's cutting

Sandy Duthie.
Same chair since 2011.

Served his time in Aberdeen, came back down the coast and opened on Millburn Wynd with one chair and a secondhand mirror.

Three chairs now, but it is still Sandy most days. He is not fussed about styles with names — tell him a number, or show him a photo, or say "same as last time" and he will remember, because he usually does.

Kids are welcome and so is anybody nervous about a first cut. There is no hurry and nobody is watching.

“If you have to explain it twice, I have not listened properly the first time.” Sandy Duthie

Ask a question

Not a booking.
Just a question.

Duthie's is walk-in only — there is no diary and no slots to hold. Use this to ask about a cut, a price, or bringing a wee one in for the first time. Sandy reads it between customers and answers the same day we are open.

In a hurry? Ring the shop. Somebody will pick up unless both chairs are going.

We only use this to answer you. No lists, no third parties.
