Prices are for anybody, any hair. If it is going to take longer than the time above, Sandy will say so before he starts rather than after.

If you are not sure

What to ask for.

Nobody minds if you do not know the words. These three cover most of what walks through the door.

Say this

“Two on the back and sides, scissor on top.”

The standard. Clippers at 6mm up the sides and round the back, the top left long enough to comb and cut by hand. If you have no idea what you want, this is the one.

Say this

“Tidy it up, same as last time.”

Perfectly good instruction. Sandy keeps it in his head and he is right more often than not. If he gets it wrong he will tell you before he cuts, not after.

Say this

“Off the ears, off the collar, leave the length.”

For when you are growing it out but it has started to annoy you. Takes the weight off without losing the length you have been waiting on.

A photo on your phone works better than any of them. Bring one if you have one — it is not cheating.

Ask a question

Not a booking.
Just a question.

Duthie's is walk-in only — there is no diary and no slots to hold. Use this to ask about a cut, a price, or bringing a wee one in for the first time. Sandy reads it between customers and answers the same day we are open.

In a hurry? Ring the shop. Somebody will pick up unless both chairs are going.

We only use this to answer you. No lists, no third parties.
